There are many questions from people with rheumatic diseases regarding the coronavirus and covid-19. Below you will find collected information and links where you can read more.
Medication
Continue to take your medication as usual.
Immunosuppressive drugs are the treatment for rheumatic disease. When, or if, you as a patient stop taking these medicines, you may have a relapse.
If you have no signs of infection, continue your anti-rheumatic treatment.
If you get signs of a respiratory infection or cold
If you are not seriously ill, stay at home and avoid spreading the infection.
If you are seriously ill with fever and cough or difficulty breathing, contact 1177 for advice.
If you have questions about your illness or treatment, contact your health care providers.
To protect yourself and others:
Stay home and avoid social contact, even if you only have mild symptoms of respiratory infection. This applies to both your working life and private life.
Wash your hands often, for at least 20 seconds.
Cough and sneeze into your armpit.
Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
Use rubbing alcohol if you do not have access to soap and water.
